Between January 26 and February 18, 2008, these three Canadian Cities transform winter doldrums into a winter exuberance. Montréal celebrates the beauty of winter with their Fete des Neiges (Snow Festival) the weekends of January 26 & 27, February 1 & 2 and Feb 8 & 9. Winter Carnival in Québec City (the winter carnival of all carnivals) is February 1 thru February 17. Ottawa, a city where many people skate to work on the Rideau Canal, celebrates Winterlude from February 2 to February 18. Your experience as a spectator is part winter Olympics, part Iditarod and part Mardi Gras. In Québec City the lovable Bonhomme is the smiling face of their Winter Carnival. The Ice Hog Family makes their annual visit to Ottawa during the Winterlude.
