Tuesday, January 3, 2017 – LAX to Oahu/Aloha & Welcome to Hawaii (B)
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to LAX for your mid-morning nonstop flight to Honolulu. Upon arrival, you will receive a traditional Hawaiian flower lei greeting. Your Cartan Tours Director will assist you to our transfer vehicle, and then we head towards Waikiki. Evening at leisure.

Wednesday, January 4, 2017 – Welcome Breakfast / Orientation (B)
Meet your Cartan Tours Director in the hotel lobby to be escorted to breakfast and orientation. At that time, the details of your trip will be reviewed and suggestions for optional sightseeing tours to enjoy during your free time will be made. Your Cartan Tours Director will be available to assist you in customizing your experience.

Pearl Harbor / City of Honolulu / Punchbowl / Pali Lookout

This morning, you will head to the West side of the island and Pearl Harbor for your visit to the USS Arizona Memorial. Here you will relive the moment in history that thrust America into World War II. You will view a film with footage of the actual 1941 Pearl Harbor attack, and browse through historic displays. Then you will ride the Navy launch across Pearl Harbor to board the USS Arizona Memorial. Please note that purses, backpacks and other items that offer concealment are prohibited on the launch; a small camera is allowed. Continue with a city tour of Honolulu, where you will view the Iolani Palace – the only royal palace on American soil. See many beautiful and historic attractions in downtown Honolulu including Kawaihao Church, the State Library and Archives, the statue of King Kamehameha, Honolulu Hale (also known as City Hall) and the Mission Houses Museum. Then you will experience the serenity of a drive through the famous Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific and the Court of the Missing. Next stop is Nuuanu Pali Lookout, where amidst gusting winds, you will encounter the glorious vista of windward Oahu before returning to your hotel. Evening at leisure.

Thursday, January 5, 2017 – Polynesian Cultural Center (D)
This famous center is where the people of Polynesia have transplanted the crafts and charms of their homeland. You will walk through life-sized replicas of the Polynesian people’s natural habitats while meeting and mingling with Samoans, Maoris, Fijians, Tahitians, Hawaiians and Tongans as they work and play. A buffet dinner precedes an entertainment spectacular with a cast of over 100 islanders performing authentic folk songs and dances. Your entrance to the center also includes a visit to the IMAX Theater. Evening at leisure.

Friday, January 6, 2017 – Day at leisure for independent activities
Your day is free to do as you wish today! Book a tour or just relax, the choice is yours!
Optional tours: an afternoon or dinner sailing for viewing Diamond Head & Waikiki Beach, a visit to famous Kualoa Ranch. Tours will be available for purchase through your onsite Tour Director. Evening at leisure.

Saturday, January 7, 2017 – Depart for Maui / Island Touring
After breakfast, a mid-morning flight to Maui is scheduled. Upon arrival, you’ll be taken to the lush Iao Valley with its towering rock monolith. Tales of ancient warfare are muffled in the tranquil green carpet of the valley. Your tour then continues to Hawaii’s old, royal capital and whaling port, Lahaina. During the 1800’s the town was filled with rowdy whalers and watchful missionaries. After touring, check in at the hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Sunday, January 8, 2017 – Maui Ocean Center (B,L)
Enjoy your included daily breakfast before your tour of the Maui Ocean Center. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with an orientation by an Ocean Naturalist. Journey from the shoreline to a tropical paradise, descending through vibrant coral just beneath the ocean surface to the depths of one of the world’s most unique marine environments, all without ever leaving land! Lunch is included at the Seascape Ma’alaea Restaurant: choice of a salad, sandwich or entree on the Seascape Menu with choice of coffee, iced tea, soft drink or juice and an ice cream cone for dessert. Monday, January 9, 2017 – Day at leisure (B, D)
At breakfast this morning, comtemplate various activities to fill your day. Some suggestions: golfing, whale watching exursion, snorkeling at Molokini Crater. Ride the free Kaanapali trolley to and from Whaler’s Village to shop for souvenirs and enjoy hula pie at Leilani’s. The trolley runs daily from 10:00AM – 10:00PM. This evening you will experience a traditional Hawaiian luau right on Kaanapali Beach. Held on the magnificent oceanfront, the Royal Lahaina Luau invites you to join their ohana (family) for an evening that celebrates Polynesian culture with authentic island cuisine, cultural presentations and live entertainment.

Tuesday, January 10, 2017 – Departure (B)
Have a relaxing breakfast as you reflect on your trip to paradise with lasting memories before departing for the mainland. Late morning, your transfer vehicle will take you to the airport for your non-stop flight back to the Los Angeles International Airport.
