Day 1 - Arrive Quebec City Today you arrive in the exquisite and historic Quebec City. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the Hotel Manoir Victoria, where the staff will assist you with your check in. Quebec City is a great walking city, and your hotel is conveniently located to all the cities highlights. Overnights – Hotel Manoir Victoria Day 2 - Quebec City Today, visit the major sightseeing attractions and learn of her fascinating history. You may be surprised to discover that the Plains of Abraham while rich in historic significance may be just the place for a picnic lunch or a bike ride. See Grand-Alee, the Parliament building, the old Military Drill Hall, The Place d’Armes, the Notre Dame de Quebec Basilica and Cathedral, City Hall, the fortifications, St. John Street and Place Royal. This may be a good day to take your guided walking tour of the famous Fairmont Chateau Frontenac. As you enjoy the hotel’s luxurious ambience and history, you will realize why this hotel has been a symbol of Quebec City for more than 100 years. Day 3 - Quebec City This may be a hard choice to make! Whale watching or dinner on the St. Lawrence; we know you will be pleased with whichever tour you chose. Should you decide to whale watch, plan on a full day. To discover the whales' kingdom, you will take one of the most beautiful roads of the province towards Charlevoix and its enchanting sites and landscapes. We will cross wonderful villages like Baie St-Paul and Pointe-au-Pic. We will stop to eat at a family type restaurant at Baie Ste-Catherine by 12:30 and will board a ship designed specially for marine mammals watching. A naturalist guide invites us to discover the beluga and finback environment. Should you decide to dine along the St. Lawrence; you will board Le M/V Louis Jolliet as the sun sets, cruise past Old Quebec and view the magic of Quebec City by night! After a delicious 3 course meal prepared by a Quebec chef , make your way to the exterior deck where you can dance the night away as the stars glisten over romantic Quebec City. Day 4 – Quebec City / Countryside Tour This tour takes you outside the city, back in time to rural Quebec as you ride in the countryside along the historic Avenue Royale, the oldest route in La Nouvelle-France, and a stop at the famous basilica in Sainte Anne de Beaupre. You will also stop at the Montmorency Falls, a waterfall 100 feet higher than Niagara Falls. On your return to Quebec City, you will visit the Island of Orleans, discovered by Jacques Cartier in 1535. Day 5 – Quebec City Today is yours to do as you please.
