Day 1- Arrive Toronto

Welcome to Toronto.  Enclosed with your travel documents is a voucher for your transfer from the airport to your hotel.  Your afternoon and evening are at leisure.  Toronto is a beautiful city with lake frontage, fine restaurants and interesting shops.   
Overnight – Fairmont Royal York  

Day 2 - VIA Rail Toronto to Jasper

Your train is scheduled to depart at 9AM. The Fairmont Royal York is just across the street from the hotel.  Nothing shows you Canada like a trip on the train.  Once aboard the train, the staff will see you settled into your room.  Your sitting room by day converts to upper and lower berths at night. As a Silver and Blue Class passenger, your fare includes all meals, use of any of the lounges and access to the domed skyline car for spectacular viewing.    The VIA Rail staff will brief you on the dining schedule.  Seating in the domed skyline cars is on a first come first serve basis.  Hot tea and coffee are available in the lounge area throughout the day and evening.

Day 4 - Arrive Jasper 

You are scheduled to arrive into Jasper mid afternoon.  The staff of the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge will meet you at the train station and transfer you to the Lodge, where you will experience wilderness luxury at its finest.

Day 5 - Jasper

If you decide to have breakfast from room service, you will be surprised to see it delivered on a bike, an experience that only the Jasper Park Lodge provides.  Your Discover Jasper Tour gives you a wonderful look at this beautiful area. This afternoon, stroll along the Lodge’s walking paths, rent a paddleboat, swim, play tennis or golf.

Day 6 - Jasper to Lake Louise

Say goodbye to Jasper as you start a day filled with majestic peaks, rushing streams and thundering waterfalls.  A highlight of this day is a visit to the Columbia Icefield for a ride on a specially constructed Ice Explorer.   The scenery is splendid and after miles of wilderness, you arrive at the jewel in the crown, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.  Even after you have seen Lake Louise it is hard to describe the beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Day 7 – Lake Louise to Banff 

After the beauty of Lake Louise, you will be surprised to find that Banff offers a different perspective.  This active alpine village is just about the best place to be in summer.  Towering mountains and the sweeping Bow Valley offer stunning contrasts.

Day 8 – Banff

Bring your camera, as your “Discover Banff” tour takes you to the sightseeing highlights of this area; Your day includes Bow Falls, Hoodoos, Surprise Corner, the Cave and Basin where Banff’s history began as well as a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain.  This afternoon is at leisure to explore Banff’s many boutiques and shops.

Day 9 – Banff to Kamloops Rocky Mountaineer

Today, your journey takes you over the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels and Kicking Horse Pass.  You will travel through Rogers Pass with tunnels, snow-sheds and glistening glaciers.  Continue along Shuswap Lake, the South Thompson River and the ranchlands leading to Kamloops.  When you arrive, the Rocky Mountaineer staff will meet and transfer you to your hotel.  Breakfast and Lunch are served aboard the train.

Day 10 – Kamloops to Vancouver

You return to your train to set off for another day of scenic wonders as you travel through the fertile fields of the Fraser River and the towering peaks of the Coastal Mountains on your way to Vancouver.   Once again the Rocky Mountaineer Rail staff will be on hand to serve breakfast, lunch and snack services at your seats.
Overnight – Marriott Pinnacle or Renaissance Harbourside

Day 11 – Vancouver

Use your Vancouver sightseeing tour to explore Vancouver, and enjoy your day.

Day 12 – Vancouver Home

Enclosed with your travel documents is a transfer voucher from your hotel to Vancouver Airport.  We hope this will be one of many visits to this lovely country.
